PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Okko Ukkonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nero Octavianus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Octavianus comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Madman kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Okko Ukkonen has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ukkonen goes for an armbar but Octavianus turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Octavianus .

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Octavianus is looking to work some ground and pound but Ukkonen has wrist control.
Octavianus postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Ukkonen wants to sweep but no luck.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
The crowd cheers as Ukkonen lands an impressive looking overhand right. Octavianus doesn't seem phased though.
Ukkonen bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Octavianus 's head backwards.
Octavianus takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Octavianus shoots for a takedown but Ukkonen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A jab from Octavianus misses.
Ukkonen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Octavianus moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ukkonen cracks Octavianus with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Octavianus fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Octavianus throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Okko Ukkonen dominated that round.
That's time! Ukkonen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Ukkonen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Octavianus as he jumps to the side.
Okko Ukkonen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ukkonen throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Ukkonen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Octavianus doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Ukkonen is tightening it up a little... Octavianus has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Octavianus reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Octavianus taps out! nice BJJ there by Ukkonen!
