Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Black Ninja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dan Dog looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Black Ninja!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dan Dog!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jorge Garcia and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dog looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Dog looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Ninja circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dog throws a right hand that Ninja ducks under and follows up with a left that Ninja also avoids with ease.
Dog doesn't manage to clinch there - Ninja circles away.
Dog tries to clinch but Ninja is having none of it.

Ninja scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Ninja is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dog sees it coming and defends easily.
Dog pushes Ninja off looking to stand but Ninja dives back in and keeps control.
Still in half guard, Ninja seems content to control.
Ninja frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ninja wants to finish this one by submission but Dog is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Ninja.

Ninja looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Ninja takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Ninja is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Dog is surviving well by controlling Ninja's body position as best he can.

Dog's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Ninja takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ninja looking to control but Dog is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Ninja is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Dog can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Dog is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Ninja wants to control the pace but Dog is squirming around nicely.

Ninja with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Ninja has hold of Dog's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Dog manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Ninja can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dog is looking to escape.
Dog is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Ninja has control of Dog's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Dog regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Dog is squirming around, avoiding Ninja's attempts to control the action.

Dog's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Dog duly obliges.

Ninja feints and as Dog raises his hands in defense, Ninja changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Dog is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Ninja thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Ninja's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Ninja pushing down on Dog's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Ninja is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dog is just riding it out for now. Ninja eventually gives up the hold.
Dog is not content to let Ninja control the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Dog flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Dog pushes Ninja off looking to stand but Ninja dives back in and keeps control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Dog looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Ninja decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Ninja is taking a breather. Dog says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Ninja is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Ninja is keen to just control but Dog is a slippery customer.

Ninja closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Ninja is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dog is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ninja, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
