The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fauteux stuffs the takedown attempt from Sanchez. Sanchez gets slowly back to his feet.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Sanchez drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Fauteux gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Sanchez tries for a takedown. No joy.
Kyle Fauteux has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dawkins Sanchez.
Fauteux wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sanchez has him pressed against the cage.
Fauteux tries for a takedown but Sanchez manages to get underhooks.
Fauteux breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Fauteux closes the distance and pushes Sanchez back into the cage.

Sanchez is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Sanchez tries to pull guard but Fauteux holds him up against the cage and eventually Sanchez drops back down to his feet.

Fauteux's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sanchez fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Fauteux checks it well.
Sanchez tries to clinch up
and Fauteux counters with a head kick.

Fauteux takes the fight into the clinch.
Fauteux wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Fauteux is pressed up against the cage. Sanchez has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Fauteux down to the mat. Fauteux avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Sanchez misses with a takedown attempt
and Fauteux counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Fauteux seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fauteux misses with a head shot. Sanchez uses the momentum to regain guard.
Fauteux tries to free his leg and advance position but Sanchez is retaining full guard.

Fauteux pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sanchez is keeping the position for now.
Sanchez looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Fauteux is defending well. Sanchez quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Fauteux has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Sanchez celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
