Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Feder Emeleanenkis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emeleanenkis comes to the cage accompanied by And Then Comes Jason. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chuck Liddell! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Emeleanenkis takes a shot right to the bread basket. Emeleanenkis closes the distance and lands a one-two. Liddell misses the shot to the body. Some wild striking there from Liddell.
Liddell throws a shot from downtown. Emeleanenkis moves away and avoids it. Liddell throws a head kick that misses. Horrible takedown by Emeleanenkis or perhaps it was just good defense by Liddell which made him look bad. Emeleanenkis shoots in but Liddell avoids the takedown attempt easily. Emeleanenkis tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Emeleanenkis has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Liddell is trying to buck Emeleanenkis off. Liddell bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Liddell fails to land with a series of punches.
Emeleanenkis slips a straight right by Liddell. Emeleanenkis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Liddell's waist but Liddell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Emeleanenkis off to one side. Emeleanenkis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Emeleanenkis shoots for a takedown but Liddell saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Chuck Liddell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Liddell misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Emeleanenkis cracks Liddell with a good jab. Emeleanenkis avoids the head kick by Liddell.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Liddell is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

and Emeleanenkis decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Liddell's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Emeleanenkis throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Liddell works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Liddell keeping moving, preventing Emeleanenkis from controlling successfully. Emeleanenkis thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Emeleanenkis is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Liddell wriggles free and stands up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Liddell with a hook. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Feder Emeleanenkis dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Emeleanenkis tries for a takedown but Liddell sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Liddell cracks Emeleanenkis with a good jab. Liddell throws a head kick that misses so Emeleanenkis counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Emeleanenkis won't allow Liddell to get back to his feet. Emeleanenkis drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Emeleanenkis jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Emeleanenkis working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Emeleanenkis prevents Liddell from getting back to his feet. Liddell pushes Emeleanenkis off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Emeleanenkis shoots in and drives through. Liddell sprawls well. Liddell throws a head kick that half lands.
Liddell stuffs the takedown attempt from Emeleanenkis. Emeleanenkis gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Feder Emeleanenkis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Emeleanenkis takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Liddell connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Liddell tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Emeleanenkis was well out of range. Poor timing from Liddell. Liddell scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Emeleanenkis closes the distance and clinches up with Liddell, looking for a takedown. Emeleanenkis pushes Liddell against the cage but Liddell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Emeleanenkis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Liddell but Liddell pushes him off and we're back to square one. Liddell misses with a jab, cross combination.

and Emeleanenkis counters with a shoot takedown. Liddell fights it but they end up in guard. Feder Emeleanenkis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Liddell is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Emeleanenkis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Liddell swivels though and keeps the full guard. Liddell pushes Emeleanenkis off and scrambles back to his feet.

and Emeleanenkis counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Emeleanenkis is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Liddell sees it coming and defends easily. Emeleanenkis is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Liddell defends it well. Emeleanenkis is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Liddell kicks off Emeleanenkis and gets to his feet. Chuck Liddell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Emeleanenkis swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Emeleanenkis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. This has been an exciting period of action! Emeleanenkis looking to secure an arm triangle but Liddell defends it well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Liddell is trying to stand. A left lands for Emeleanenkis. Emeleanenkis throws a front kick that sends Liddell stumbling back into the cage. Emeleanenkis fails to land the takedown. Emeleanenkis takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Liddell is looking to stand up but Emeleanenkis isn't so interested in that idea.
And that's the end of the fight! Feder Emeleanenkis showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Emeleanenkis, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
