Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tony English! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Trades! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! English misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Trades throws a head kick that misses. Left hook, right uppercut from English. Jack Trades seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. English gets the takedown into side control. Trades is looking to work his way out of this bad position but English is controlling him well. Trades is letting English control him for a moment. Trades is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, English asserts his dominance and retains side control. Trades throws English to one side and escapes! Trades throws a sloppy head kick and English moves out of range easily. Trades pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Trades throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. English closes the distance and clinches up with Trades, looking for a takedown. English pushes Trades against the cage but Trades circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tony English. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. English changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Trades looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The referee asks English politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. English prefers to stall for the moment though. Trades is trying to stand and escape here. He's got onto all fours but that's just let English take his back! Uh oh - English has got a rear naked choke here! Trades is forced to tap! It's all over! One monent is all it takes in this sport!
