PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Geo Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Geo Jr looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Jr looks exhausted already! That's two minutes gone in the round. Taylor content just to control the position here. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Taylor throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Jr has his hands clasped together but Taylor breaks the hold and Jr is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Taylor!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jesse Taylor!
