Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paul McKenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buster Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think McKenzie might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to BMTH- Diamonds aren't forever.... Banks has chosen King Kong - Jibbs as his entrance music. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buster Banks! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Banks ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Banks connects with a single shot there. McKenzie misses the shot to the body. McKenzie misses with a few strikes there.
Banks dodges the punch combination from McKenzie.
Banks tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McKenzie was well out of range. Poor timing from Banks. Banks slips a jab from McKenzie. A shot to de liver by Banks. Beautiful body shot. A punch lands to the side of McKenzie 's head but he takes it in his stride. McKenzie throws a right hand that Banks ducks under and follows up with a left that Banks also avoids with ease. Banks misses with a body shot
and McKenzie counters with a three punch combo that has Banks backing up. Banks nods at McKenzie to acknowledge the strikes. McKenzie throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Banks takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Nice defenses there by McKenzie. A slow jab from McKenzie misses its intended target. A looping hook to the body misses from Banks. McKenzie does a little dance to reset his feet. McKenzie thows a body shot but no joy. McKenzie keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round. A shot to the body from Banks misses and McKenzie counters with a big head kick but Banks shrugs it off. Banks lands a nice hook to McKenzie's body. McKenzie takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Banks scores with a shot to the body.

and Banks counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. McKenzie is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Banks cracks McKenzie with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Banks is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down McKenzie rather than just go for the knockout. Banks takes a swing at McKenzie's ribcage but misses. Banks lands with a good body shot. Banks misses with a body shot.

Banks throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. McKenzie walks into a straight right hand from Banks. Banks thuds a left hand into McKenzie's body. Banks moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Banks fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. McKenzie looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Banks lands a body shot.
Buster Banks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Banks lands a nice shot to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Banks!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Banks misses with a telegraphed body shot
and McKenzie counters with a right hand to the body. Nice uppercut lands for Banks. That snapped McKenzie's head back.
Banks thuds a left hand into McKenzie's body. McKenzie doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Banks throws a quick head kick that skims the top of McKenzie's head. McKenzie connects with a nice looking jab.
The fighters circle momentarily. Banks darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Banks connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Banks lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
McKenzie has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Banks finds it's way round the side to connect with McKenzie's head. Banks wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. McKenzie misses with a body shot.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! The crowd cheers as Banks lands an impressive looking overhand right. McKenzie doesn't seem phased though. Banks cracks a nice hook into McKenzie's ribs. Banks closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Banks throwing shots but missing, from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McKenzie takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. McKenzie looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Banks defending well as McKenzie loads up on a big left hand. Left hook, right uppercut from Banks. Banks slips under a jab. McKenzie throws a jab when Banks was well out of range. Banks fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. McKenzie throws a right and a left that both miss. McKenzie keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

McKenzie doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Good exchange - Banks coming out on top. McKenzie throws out a token jab with nothing on it. McKenzie moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. McKenzie lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Banks backs up against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round. Banks on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Banks is still on wobbly legs! Can McKenzie finish him? Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. McKenzie lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Banks is looking to close the distance but McKenzie sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Banks crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Banks is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
