Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Bravo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sam Bravo has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Pablo Santos's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pablo Santos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sam Bravo! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bravo. Santos throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bravo was covering up waiting for the punch and Santos finishes the takedown easily into guard. Santos trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bravo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Santos doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Santos manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Bravo throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Santos wants to control from the top but Bravo keeps moving. Bravo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Santos defends it easily. Santos is pushing down on Bravo's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bravo is fighting to maintain full guard but Santos has managed to sneak the leg through. Bravo tries to get to full guard but Santos has control of the leg. Santos trying to control from half guard but Bravo is working away. Santos missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's one minute gone in the round. Bravo misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Santos sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Bravo defending well though. Santos is looking for a kimura but Bravo is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Santos to get the leverage. Bravo is not content to let Santos control the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Bravo takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Bravo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Santos moves away. Bravo shoots in for a takedown but Santos shows good takedown defense. Santos closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Bravo throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Bravo manages to get to full guard.
Santos is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Bravo is looking for a triangle here but Santos uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bravo looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bravo tries to buck Santos off but Santos is having none of it. Santos in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Bravo is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Pablo Santos!
