Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leland Tucker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Johnson. No joy for Tucker on that attempt.
Tucker misses with a few strikes there.

Johnson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Tucker.
Johnson lands with a hook. Tucker tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Johnson shoots in for a double leg but Tucker sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Johnson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Tucker decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Johnson's guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Johnson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tucker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tucker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Tucker feints and as Johnson raises his hands in defense, Tucker changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Johnson is looking for a triangle but Tucker pushes his legs off easily.

Johnson has his foot on Tucker's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tucker works his way back into a safe position though.
