Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Devlin!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, STEVE AUSTIN!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Devlin with that takedown attempt.
AUSTIN looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Devlin rushes AUSTIN and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
AUSTIN gets underhooks to prevent Devlin's takedown attempt.
AUSTIN doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

AUSTIN pulls Devlin into guard.

Devlin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Devlin sitting in guard here, content to control.
Devlin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. AUSTIN swivels though and keeps the full guard.
AUSTIN looking to hit a scissor sweep but Devlin is one step ahead there.

Devlin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Devlin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
AUSTIN can't keep his opponent in guard - Devlin advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Devlin works his way into full mount!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Devlin jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but AUSTIN manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Devlin advances to mount.
AUSTIN tries to hold on but Devlin pushes him away.
Devlin fails to move to back control.

Devlin has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! AUSTIN is forced to tap!
