Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shock N Awe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Irving (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shock N Awe could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to John Irving's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shock N Awe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Irving! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Bruno Lombardi and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Irving takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
N Awe bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Irving's head backwards. N Awe works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. N Awe lands a body shot.
A clash of legs there as Irving blocks the low kick. N Awe looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. N Awe tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. N Awe lands a jab to the nose. N Awe throws a right and a left that Irving avoids nicely. Some wild striking there from N Awe.
Irving takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
That's one minute gone in the round. N Awe throws out a leg kick but Irving moves out of range and N Awe only half commits. N Awe connects with the punch. N Awe works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Irving avoids a punch combination nicely.
N Awe getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Nice shot by N Awe. Irving takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. N Awe cracks Irving with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Irving is rocked! N Awe catches Irving napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Irving to the canvas!
Irving is still in real trouble! Can N Awe finish him? Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Irving controls N Awe momentarily but N Awe frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. N Awe looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Irving seems to have recovered his senses. N Awe trying to control the position from guard on top but Irving is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. N Awe won't allow Irving to sweep him here. N Awe trying to stand up but can't free himself from Irving's guard. N Awe looking to sit in guard and control but Irving gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Irving trying to control the position from guard on top but N Awe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Irving ducks under a wild hook from N Awe. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. N Awe swinging wilding here.
Irving takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shock N Awe dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
N Awe misses with a few strikes there.
Irving drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. N Awe lands a big shot that drops Irving! Can he finish him?
N Awe trying to control but Irving is working from the bottom. Irving is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. N Awe wants to control from the top but Irving keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. N Awe has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Irving is proving hard to escape from. Irving keeping moving, preventing N Awe from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Irving wants to sweep but no luck. N Awe trying to control the position from guard on top but Irving is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. N Awe would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. N Awe with a body punch. A glancing blow. N Awe pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. N Awe smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. N Awe lands a glancing blow to the side of Irving's head. N Awe lands with a right that hurts Irving. Irving looks to clinch but N Awe throws a short knee that drops Irving. This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch and Knee). Shock N Awe!
