Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Raker Raif (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rashawn Curry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Raker Raif!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Alexandre Firmino and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raif looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Curry shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Raif as he avoids it easily.

Curry changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Raif looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Curry taking a break here but Raif is having none of it and regains half guard.
Raif is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Curry uses his free foot to push down on Raif's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Raif.
Raif knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Curry on the ground.

Curry throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Raif's waist but Raif gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Curry off to one side.

Curry feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
