Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between George Vioto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddy Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vioto comes to the cage accompanied by Nothing else matters - Metallica. Alves has chosen Trik Turner - Magnet as his entrance music. George Vioto had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Emerson Jorge and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vioto is trying hard to land a takedown here. Alves sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Alves closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Vioto did well to prevent Alves getting side control.
Alves decides to stand and escape the position.
Alves should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Vioto tries for a takedown but Alves circles away easily
and Alves holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Alves's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Vioto gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
so Alves counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George Vioto. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Vioto wants to sweep here but Alves controlling him for the moment.
Alves is looking to stand up but Vioto won't let him.

Alves has gone for a leg lock! Vioto slips out almost immediately though and dives into Alves's guard.
Vioto drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Alves dives on top into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Alves is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Alves working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Alves throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Vioto works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Vioto is adopting a defensive guard.
Alves slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Vioto seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Alves really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vioto. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Alves must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Alves wants to control from the top but Vioto keeps moving.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Vioto bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Alves's guard.

Alves is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Alves looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Vioto stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alves swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Vioto drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Vioto seems to have locked his on tight now - Alves screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Vioto, as he picks up the win!
