Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Angle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Angle comes to the cage accompanied by DMX - Get It On The Floor (instrumental). Silva has chosen Bring Da Ruckus as his entrance music. Kurt Angle has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kurt Angle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Damien Silva!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva looks to land a combination but Angle avoids it well.
Angle showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Silva.
Silva closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Silva is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Angle looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Silva is working for a submission of some sort.
Silva is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Angle is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Silva pulls his head out easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva passes Angle's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Silva is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Angle is just riding it out for now. Silva eventually gives up the hold.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Silva has gone for a leg lock! Angle slips out almost immediately though and dives into Silva's guard.

Angle drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Angle jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Angle got a little sloppy there for a moment and Silva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Angle has managed to get both his arms back between Silva's legs - danger averted.
Angle wants to pass the guard but Silva is keeping the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Angle doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Angle manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Silva keeping moving, preventing Angle from controlling successfully.
Silva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Angle can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Angle wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Angle throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Silva was covering up waiting for the punch and Angle finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Silva is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Silva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Angle gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
