Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Cabrera! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Sanderson! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cabrera misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Cabrera fails with the takedown. Sanderson looks for a takedown but Cabrera sprawls well. Cabrera misses with a body kick. A head kick misses from Cabrera. Cabrera connects with a solid leg kick. David Cabrera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sanderson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Sanderson tries for a takedown but Cabrera manages to get underhooks.

Cabrera could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Sanderson blocking some punches.
Cabrera tries to stall but Sanderson uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Sanderson is trying to drag Cabrera to the mat but Cabrera just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there. Sanderson looks gassed! Cabrera is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Sanderson is keeping busy. Sanderson is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though. Cabrera successfully pulls guard.
Cabrera might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Sanderson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Sanderson throws and elbow that misses. Cabrera uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sanderson's guard. Nice move by Cabrera! Sanderson trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Sanderson keeping moving, preventing Cabrera from controlling successfully.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Sanderson wants to clinch up but Cabrera keeps it at a distance. Cabrera throws a right hand that Sanderson ducks under and follows up with a left that Sanderson also avoids with ease. Sanderson avoids the head kick by Cabrera.

Cabrera closes the distance but Sanderson moves to the side and Sanderson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Cabrera gets full guard. Cabrera looking to control.
Cabrera is really struggling to control Sanderson but he's trying to hold on to the position. Sanderson thows a big elbow that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cabrera manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Cabrera is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Sanderson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Sanderson tries to hold on but Cabrera postures up. Sanderson in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sanderson can do anything to dispel that myth. Sanderson is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. Cabrera raining down shots from the mount! Sanderson is squirming around, avoiding Cabrera's attempts to control the action. Cabrera blocks Sanderson's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Cabrera dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Cabrera clinches but Sanderson breaks the clinch and Sanderson counters with a single leg into guard. Cabrera didn't expect that. Cabrera has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Sanderson doesn't defend quickly enough and Cabrera has managed to lock this one up! Can Sanderson escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Cabrera on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). David Cabrera!
