PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luke Pendridge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akimbo Dice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dice fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Pendridge throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Pendridge rushes Dice and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Dice changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Pendridge fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Pendridge throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Pendridge closes the distance and pushes Dice back into the ropes.
The referee is keeping an eye on Pendridge - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Pendridge gets underhooks to prevent Dice's takedown attempt.
Luke Pendridge has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Akimbo Dice.

Pendridge is fighting off a takedown attempt but Dice is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Pendridge to the mat. Pendridge regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Pendridge with a poor takedown

so Dice counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
