Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Matt Richards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and CJ Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). CJ Riley is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matt Richards! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, CJ Riley! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Alexandre Firmino and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Richards shoots in looking for a takedown. Riley tries to sprawl out of it but Richards keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Riley manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Richards circles away from the clinch attempt.
Richards shoots in and bounces Riley off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Richards has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Riley is trying to control the position but Richards postures up. Riley keeping moving, preventing Richards from controlling successfully. Riley utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Riley working for a triangle but Richards defends it easily.
Riley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Richards trying to control the position from guard on top but Riley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Riley seems keen to control Richards's posture. Riley had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Richards is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Riley Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Richards's back instead.
That's one minute gone in the round. Riley is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Richards has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Riley scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Richards is looking for a way out. Richards is trying to break free.

Riley sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Richards taps out!
