Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Junichi Takahara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuki Noshikawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Junichi Takahara! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yuki Noshikawa! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takahara looks to land a body kick but Noshikawa moved away. Takahara fails to land the takedown. Takahara throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Noshikawa's waist but Takahara gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Takahara off to one side. Noshikawa gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Noshikawa is on top in guard.

Noshikawa is taking a breather. Takahara says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Takahara pushes Noshikawa off looking to stand but Noshikawa dives back in and keeps control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Noshikawa prevents Takahara from improving his position. Noshikawa is tying to control. Takahara wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Noshikawa is figuring out what he wants to do next. Takahara has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Noshikawa is working away from the top position though. Noshikawa looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Noshikawa seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Takahara does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Takahara wants to control but Noshikawa is keeping busy.
Noshikawa content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Noshikawa's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Despite being in the dominant position, Yuki Noshikawa just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Takahara shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Noshikawa as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Junichi Takahara. That's going to take a lot out of him. Takahara fails with an attempt to clinch.
Takahara looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Noshikawa pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Takahara checks a low kick from Noshikawa. Horrible takedown by Takahara or perhaps it was just good defense by Noshikawa which made him look bad. Noshikawa fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Takahara is breathing heavily. Noshikawa circles away from the clinch attempt.

Takahara will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Takahara fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Noshikawa gets a takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Takahara works his way to full guard. Good work. Takahara not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Takahara looking to hit a scissor sweep but Noshikawa is one step ahead there. Takahara can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Noshikawa controls the pace. Noshikawa trying to control the position from guard on top but Takahara is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Noshikawa drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Noshikawa jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Takahara tries to land a sweep but no joy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Takahara misses with a takedown attempt and Noshikawa counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Takahara thinking. Takahara doesn't succeed with the takedown and Noshikawa counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. The fight stays on the outside here - Takahara looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Nice shot by Takahara. Takahara has his takedown stuffed and Noshikawa cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Junichi Takahara. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Noshikawa checks a leg kick. Takahara tries to clinch up and Noshikawa connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Noshikawa tries to reverse the position but Takahara maintains control. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Noshikawa wants to control but Takahara is having none of it. Noshikawa is looking to get to half guard. Takahara punching from mount but Noshikawa doing a good job of avoiding damage. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Noshikawa is hanging on here. He's in a desperate position. Noshikawa tries to hold on but Takahara postures up. Takahara tries to get up but Noshikawa was controlling his body and he's reversed into guard. Noshikawa trying to control but Takahara is working from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Takahara is looking to clinch. Takahara with a lazy takedown attempt and Noshikawa counters with a nice uppercut. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Takahara tries for a takedown but Noshikawa circles away easily and Noshikawa counters with a two punch combo. Takahara shoots and misses and Noshikawa counters with a nice double leg into side control. Takahara won't be happy with that.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Noshikawa staying calm. Takahara is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Noshikawa tries to advance to mount but can't. Noshikawa staying calm. Takahara is trying to improve his position. Noshikawa tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Noshikawa looking to control but instead Takahara has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Noshikawa should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Noshikawa is not content to let Takahara control the position. Noshikawa wants to improve his position but Takahara is controlling well.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Takahara keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Takahara has control of Noshikawa's left arm, preventing Noshikawa from doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yuki Noshikawa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

And that's the end of the fight! Yuki Noshikawa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Noshikawa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
