Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Logan Blinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Aurelio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Logan Blinn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jon Aurelio!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blinn takes the fight into the clinch.

Blinn turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Aurelio is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Blinn off and has taken his back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Aurelio controlling well, preventing Blinn from escaping the position.
Aurelio tries to get the hooks in deep but Blinn pushed the leg off.
Blinn holding on to Aurelio's left wrist, preventing the choke.
Blinn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Aurelio on the ground.

Blinn trying to control the position but Aurelio manages to sink in the hooks.

Aurelio patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Blinn looking very determined here, making life difficult for Aurelio.
Blinn tries to escape the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Aurelio is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Aurelio is not going to allow Blinn to sit and survive in this position.
Aurelio trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

Aurelio slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Blinn is trying to break free.
Aurelio is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Aurelio is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Blinn is defending well though. Aurelio let's go of the attempt for now.
Aurelio looks gassed!
A lull in the action here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Aurelio really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Blinn.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Logan Blinn dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Blinn fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Aurelio, pushing him back against the cage.

Blinn breaks the clinch.

Blinn moves into range and clinches up with Aurelio.
Aurelio is looking to break free of the clinch but Blinn has double underhooks.

Blinn pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Blinn tries to clinch up but Aurelio circles away and keeps his distance.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Blinn.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Aurelio moves in looking to clinch but Blinn pushes him off.
Aurelio has his takedown stuffed
and Blinn counters with a one-two to the body.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Blinn changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Aurelio looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Aurelio can't do much from the bottom here.

Blinn has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Logan Blinn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Aurelio closes the distance and clinches.
Aurelio is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Blinn is defending well for now.

Blinn breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Aurelio has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Blinn tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Blinn connects with a body shot.
A nice combination there by Blinn.
Blinn tries to bum rush Aurelio with a series of wild strikes but Aurelio uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Blinn closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Blinn lands in his opponent's guard.

Aurelio wriggles free and stands up.

Aurelio closes the distance looking to clinch
and Blinn counters with a head kick.

Aurelio scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Aurelio prevents Blinn from improving his position.
Aurelio wants to lay and pray for a moment but Blinn keeps working.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Aurelio is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Aurelio not doing much here.
Aurelio passes to side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Aurelio has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Blinn swats away the attempt to clinch by Aurelio.

Aurelio shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Blinn is trying to defend but Aurelio finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Logan Blinn will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Blinn throws a series of punches but Aurelio moves out of range.
A head kick misses from Blinn.
Aurelio tries to clinch there but Blinn circles away.
Blinn goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Logan Blinn is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Blinn misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Blinn tries to clinch there but Aurelio circles away.
Aurelio fails in his attempt to clinch.
Aurelio tries to clinch but Blinn moves out of range.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blinn throws a head kick that misses.
Blinn tries to close the distance and clinch but Aurelio swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Aurelio takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Blinn closes the distance and clinches.

Aurelio is looking to break free of the clinch but Blinn has double underhooks.
The referee calls for Aurelio to work.
Blinn tries to circle away but Aurelio has him pinned against the cage.
Aurelio goes for a takedown attempt but Blinn pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Blinn keeps Aurelio at a distance using the push kick.
Blinn lands a high kick!
Aurelio avoids a punch combination nicely.
Aurelio stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Aurelio wants it to stay on the feet.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Aurelio looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Blinn is not content to let Aurelio control the position.
Aurelio controlling the pace.
Blinn is trying to get back to full guard.

Aurelio works his way into full mount!
Aurelio can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Blinn is looking to escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Aurelio landing strikes from the mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Aurelio postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Blinn looks a forlorn figure.
Jon Aurelio has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Logan Blinn is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Aurelio pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jon Aurelio comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Blinn has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
