Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Kruger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Ross! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fred Kruger! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ross takes the fight into the clinch. Kruger looking for a takedown. Kruger is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Ross gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Ross has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Kruger is trying to keep an underhook but Ross manages to get the takedown into half guard. Kruger manages to get to full guard.
Kruger looking for a sweep. Not yet Kruger, not yet. Kruger working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ross doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ross manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kruger throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Ross wants to control from the top but Kruger keeps moving. Kruger not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ross chips away with some ground and pound. Kruger wants to sweep but no luck. Ross wants to pass the guard but Kruger is keeping the position. Kruger looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ross is one step ahead there. Kruger throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Ross escapes and throws Kruger's legs to the side, diving into side control! Ross is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kruger is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Ross grinds an elbow into Kruger's temple. Ross swings around for an armbar but Kruger sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Ross's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kruger wants to stand but Ross is controlling his posture from full guard. Ross bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kruger's guard. Ross has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Ross wants to get up but he can't break Kruger's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Kruger has his foot on Ross's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ross works his way back into a safe position though. Ross is breathing heavily. Kruger utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kruger being controlled here, momentarily. Ross is looking to stand up but Kruger won't let him. Ross postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kruger is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ross, into his guard. Kruger scoring with some ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kruger cracks Ross with a solid left hand. Kruger decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Kruger misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Steve Ross has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fred Kruger. Ross gets a clinch. Ross tries for a takedown but Kruger manages to get underhooks.
Ross is working for takedown but Kruger is calmly controlling the position for now. Kruger tries to pull guard but Ross holds him up against the cage and eventually Kruger drops back down to his feet.

Kruger has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ross is proving hard to escape from. Ross wants to sweep here but Kruger controlling him for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kruger missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Ross trying to keep a closed guard but Kruger is proving a slippery customer.
Ross is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kruger is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Kruger trying to control but Ross is working from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Some wild striking there from Ross.
Ross lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Ross feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Kruger's calf. A shot to de liver by Ross. Beautiful body shot. Ross tries for a takedown but Kruger circles away easily and Kruger counters with a single leg into guard. Ross didn't expect that. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Steve Ross will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ross moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Ross is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kruger takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Ross tries to close the distance and clinch but Kruger swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kruger chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ross can pounce on him.
Ross lands an overhand right. Kruger drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ross is looking to reverse the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kruger working the ground and pound. Kruger is looking to take a break and control but Ross is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ross is being controlled here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kruger tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kruger has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Kruger throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Kruger stands up and beckons Ross to his feet. Ross scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kruger doesn't seem bothered though. The fight stays on the outside here - Ross looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kruger takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Ross gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kruger counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ross's guard now. Kruger advances position into side control! Ross manages to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kruger prevents Ross from improving his position. Ross is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kruger's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kruger's back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ross is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Kruger has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Kruger preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Ross. Kruger trying to control the position but Ross manages to sink in the hooks. Ross scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
This has been an exciting period of action! Oooh a big shot gets through from Ross. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

Kruger is covering up but some of the strikes from Ross are getting through and doing damage.

Ross has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Kruger has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Kruger is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Kruger rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Kruger is refusing to be controlled, as Ross sits in half guard. Ross looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kruger with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Kruger is pressing down on Ross's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ross drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ross jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kruger utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kruger looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Fred Kruger has got the better of the ground game so far. Ross drops back looking for a leg! Kruger is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kruger manages to kick Ross off! Ross jumps back into Kruger's guard. Kruger throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Kruger keeping full guard, as Ross tries to pass. Ross not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Kruger has a closed guard, preventing Ross from standing up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Fred Kruger will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Ross's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Kruger swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Ross is now in Kruger's guard. A big mistake from Kruger there, giving up the dominant position! Ross wants to control from the top but Kruger keeps moving. Ross avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Kruger trying to mount his opponent but Ross defends it. Ross wants to control but Kruger is keeping busy.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kruger passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Ross! Kruger lands a big shot there that rocks Ross but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Kruger lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Ross is rocked! Kruger has isolated one of Ross's arms. Ross looking to fight him off but Kruger twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
