Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Renzo Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gilbert Yvel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gilbert Yvel is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Renzo Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gilbert Yvel! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Patrick Alders and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yvel scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Yvel changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gracie looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Gracie dodges the ground and pound from Yvel. Gracie tries to buck Yvel off but Yvel is having none of it. Gracie manages to work his way to half guard, despite Yvel's best efforts. Still in half guard, Yvel seems content to control. Gracie wants to get back to full guard. Gracie controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Gracie is not content to let Yvel control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie regains full guard. Nicely done. Gracie looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Yvel passes into side control.
Gracie tries to improve position but can't. Gracie wants to control but Yvel postures up. Gracie is trying to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Gracie wants to control but Yvel postures up. Gracie is looking for a sweep. Yvel decides to stand back up. Yvel steps back and let's Gracie get back to his feet. Gracie shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Yvel counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gracie won't be happy with that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gracie is looking to reverse the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie is trying to control Yvel's posture but Yvel avoids it. Gracie sneaks back into half guard. Gracie is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Yvel pulls his head out easily. Gracie looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Gracie looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Yvel prevents Gracie from improving his position. Gracie slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Yvel avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Gracie not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gilbert Yvel dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Yvel closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Gracie looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Gracie gets back to full guard.
Yvel working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Gracie's head. Gracie is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Yvel defends well. Yvel got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Yvel has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie throws his legs up looking for a submission but Yvel uses it to pass to side control.
Yvel tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Gracie is looking for a sweep. Gracie is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Yvel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gracie keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Yvel is thwarting Gracie's attempts to control the position. Yvel is trying to control the action in half guard but Gracie is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Yvel is breathing heavily. Gracie is trying to control but can't.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Yvel scores with a takedown into Gracie's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yvel got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Yvel has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted. Gracie lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Yvel! Gracie moves to take his opponent's back. Gracie has got one arm under Yvel's chin. This could be trouble... Yvel trying to control the other hand but Gracie gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Yvel has tapped out! The fight is over!
