Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Corbett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JT Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nathan Corbett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, JT Davis! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Joseph Jones and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis swats away the attempt to clinch by Corbett. Davis tries to clinch up but Corbett circles away and keeps his distance. Horrible takedown by Corbett or perhaps it was just good defense by Davis which made him look bad. Corbett changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Davis tries to avoid it but Corbett manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Davis to the ground. Davis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Corbett tries to close the distance and clinch but Davis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Davis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Corbett pinned against the cage. Corbett gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Corbett with a poor takedown and Davis decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Corbett's guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nathan Corbett. That's going to take a lot out of him. Davis sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Corbett's guard. Corbett tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Ground and pound from Davis. Davis stops Corbett from getting back to his feet.
Corbett gets back to full guard.
Corbett avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Davis decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Davis feints and as Corbett raises his hands in defense, Davis changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis wants to stand but Corbett has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Davis stands up and waves to Corbett to follow him. Corbett getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Corbett closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Davis to the mat! Davis manages to get full guard. Davis wants to stand up but Corbett is controlling him. Davis utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Davis looks gassed! Davis looking for a sweep. Not yet Davis, not yet. Davis working a defensive guard here.
Davis preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Corbett pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Davis is keeping the position for now. Corbett advances to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Davis is trying to stand up here but Corbett is controlling him well. Davis has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Davis tries to clinch but Corbett moves out of range. Davis stuffs the takedown attempt from Corbett. Corbett gets slowly back to his feet. Corbett looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Davis won't allow Corbett to pass to mount. Corbett passes to side control. Davis is working to avoid the ground and pound but Corbett connects with a decent elbow. Davis tries to strike from the bottom but misses. Davis tries to bench press Corbett off him but Corbett keeps the position. Davis wants to get back to his feet. Davis wants to control but Corbett postures up. Davis gets back to half guard. Davis trying to hold on to Corbett's head to control him but Corbett postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis moves into full guard.
Davis is trying to keep Corbett in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Davis looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Corbett is defending well. Davis quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Corbett has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Davis celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
