The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mera paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Kujaku uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mera.

Mera throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kujaku.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mera can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
