Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shin Kujaku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Mera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mera is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Automatic - Monster. Shin Kujaku could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Danny Mera's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shin Kujaku! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Danny Mera! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksandr Martynov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mera paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Kujaku uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mera.
Kujaku moves out of range of the strikes. Mera throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kujaku. Mera missing with a left hand there. Kujaku was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Kujaku takes one to the side of the head.
Mera throws the left hand but Kujaku avoids the punch easily. Kujaku steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mera. Mera misses with a two punch combination.
Mera is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A left lands for Mera. Kujaku could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Mera tries to clinch but Kujaku is having none of it. Mera is looking to clinch but Kujaku is avoiding it.

Kujaku uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mera. Kujaku slips a jab from Mera. Mera changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Kujaku takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Mera rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kujaku moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kujaku ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Kujaku circles away from the clinch attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kujaku is defended easily by Mera. Donk. Mera catches Kujaku right on the button with a cross. Mera fails in his attempt to clinch. Kujaku forces Mera back against the cage and clinches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A head punch on the inside from Mera fails to land. Mera lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Mera working some nice short punches in the clinch. Kujaku is trying to drag Mera to the mat but Mera just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. A hook to the body from Mera.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Mera. Mera throws a punch but it's blocked by Kujaku. Mera lands on the inside with an uppercut. Kujaku blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Mera lands a shot to the body. Kujaku is breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Mera throws a head punch that misses. Mera tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Mera lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Kujaku backwards. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Mera. Still in the clinch, Mera scores with a nice short uppercut. Mera lands a hook that snaps the head of Kujaku backwards. A head punch blocked on the inside by Kujaku. Mera misses with some punches.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mera lands an elbow inside. Mera swings wildly with an uppercut but Kujaku uses good head movement to avoid it. Mera scores with a hook to the body. Mera misses with a hook from the clinch. Mera works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Mera makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Mera scores with a nice hook to the head. Mera gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. A short left from Mera. A short right from Mera. Mera tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Kujaku avoids it. Mera lands a shot to the body. Mera misses with the head strike.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A battle for position here, against the cage. Mera digs a right hand underneath Kujaku's ribcage. Kujaku let out a lung full of air as it connected. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Mera creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Kujaku can't get the takedown.

Danny Mera dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kujaku takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Mera lands an overhand right. Mera thows a left - swing and a miss! Kujaku tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mera swivels and escapes. Mera waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kujaku. Mera with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Kujaku drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Mera is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kujaku won't allow Mera to get back to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kujaku pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mera is keeping the position for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mera is trying to control Kujaku's posture but Kujaku avoids it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kujaku takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Mera tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kujaku was well out of range. Poor timing from Mera. Kujaku gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Mera looks to clinch and Kujaku counters with a shoot takedown. Mera fights it but they end up in guard. Mera is looking to stand up but Kujaku isn't so interested in that idea. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mera can do anything to dispel that myth. Kujaku is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Mera holds on and takes a little breather. Kujaku postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mera wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Kujaku manages to pass to side control. Kujaku landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Kujaku prevents Mera from improving his position. Kujaku controlling the action here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kujaku is pressing down on Mera's thigh, looking to free his foot. Mera is holding on for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mera is trying to get back to full guard. Mera is controlling Kujaku's trapped leg to prevent Kujaku from advancing to side control. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kujaku in particular looking to stall. Mera is trying to control but Kujaku manages to pass to mount!

Shin Kujaku dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Mera lands with a nice body punch. Kujaku stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Mera. Kujaku avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A shot to de liver by Mera. Beautiful body shot. Danny Mera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mera throws a right and a left that Kujaku avoids nicely. Kujaku fails in his attempt to clinch. Kujaku drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Kujaku trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Kujaku wants to control from the top but Mera keeps moving. Mera avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mera controls Kujaku momentarily but Kujaku frees himself. Mera seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Mera is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Mera takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Good standup being displayed there by Mera as he connects with a hook.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kujaku tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mera sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kujaku somewhat. Mera tries to clinch up and Kujaku counters with a takedown into side control. Mera can't do much from the bottom here. Mera is looking for a sweep. Kujaku throws a strike aimed at the side of Mera's head but Mera avoids it well. Mera tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kujaku slows the pace down.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kujaku gets a takedown into half guard. Kujaku passes into side control, despite Mera's attempt to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee asks Kujaku politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kujaku prefers to stall for the moment though. You can see the frustration on Mera's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Kujaku controls the position from side control. Kujaku has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Mera tries to buck Kujaku off but Kujaku is having none of it.
And that's the end of the fight! Shin Kujaku showed his dominance in that final round. I think Kujaku has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
