Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chicken George (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anze Delfino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chicken George!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Anze Delfino!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

George scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Delfino is looking for a sweep.
George in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Delfino is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on George's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Delfino wants to control but George is keeping busy and won't allow it.

George drops an elbow to the side of Delfino's head.
George tries to pass the half guard into mount. Delfino knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

George is looking to work some ground and pound but Delfino has wrist control.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
George pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Delfino is keeping the position for now.

Delfino is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. George is aware though and is defending well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
George shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Delfino defends it nicely.

George decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
George is pressing down on Delfino's thigh, looking to free his foot. Delfino is holding on for now.
George knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Delfino on the ground.
George is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Delfino gets full guard.

Delfino escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. George gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
George content to stall in guard here.
George seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Delfino for as long as he can get away with.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Chicken George dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



George shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Chicken George just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

George instigates a clinch.

George has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Delfino clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

George is working the ground and pound. Can Delfino escape?

George is riding his opponent, not letting Delfino buck him off.

George is punishing Delfino with strikes - can he finish him?!
George is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Delfino. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

Chicken George overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Chicken George just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
George has a takedown stuffed.

George has closed the distance and engaged Delfino in a clinch.

George works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Delfino has an active guard here but George has managed to pass into half guard.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Chicken George dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


George looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

George rushes Delfino and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

George gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

George is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Delfino takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

George avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
George has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Delfino is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

George's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Delfino is working an open guard so George takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Chicken George showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for George, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
