Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Masakazu Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brewster B (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aoki comes into the arena with Sandstorm by Darude blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Masakazu Aoki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Brewster B!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Glass and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoki shoots in for a double leg but B sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Aoki shoots in but no luck this time.
Aoki checks a low kick from B.
Aoki closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Aoki lands in his opponent's guard.
B trying to control the position.
Aoki stopping the sweep attempt from B.
B has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Aoki can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Aoki drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Aoki jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Aoki might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
B looking for a guillotine here but Aoki defends easily.
Aoki tries to free his leg and advance position but B is retaining full guard.

B manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Aoki manages to get himself to full guard.
B has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Aoki is proving hard to escape from.

B not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
B wants to control from the top but Aoki keeps moving.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
B swats away the attempt to clinch by Aoki.
B wants to land a leg kick but Aoki is out of range.
B stuffs the takedown attempt from Aoki. Aoki gets slowly back to his feet.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

B shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
B avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
B is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Aoki is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
B postures up in Aoki's guard and throws a big left but Aoki blocks it.
B thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Aoki takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Aoki shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. B is trying to defend but Aoki finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Aoki wants to free his trapped foot but B is holding on for dear life with his legs.
B gets back to full guard.
B is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
B looking for a guillotine here but Aoki defends easily.

Aoki is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Masakazu Aoki overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Aoki passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for B!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
B's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Aoki trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
B really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

B bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
B wants to pass the guard but Aoki is keeping the position.
Aoki throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Aoki is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

That was a close second round but I would say that Masakazu Aoki will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
A slapping leg kick lands for B.
Masakazu Aoki is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
B misses with a takedown attempt - Aoki sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Aoki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. B tries to avoid it but Aoki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag B to the ground. B escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Aoki tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but B swivels and escapes.
B throws a low kick but Aoki avoids it.
B wants to land a leg kick but Aoki is out of range.
B closes the distance and lands a one-two.
B goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
B dips to his left and cracks Aoki with an uppercut!
B will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Good leg kick by B there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
B gets the takedown into side control.
B is looking to take a break and control but Aoki is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
B tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no B has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Aoki gets back to half guard.
Aoki trying to control but B postures up.
B is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Aoki is just riding it out for now. B eventually gives up the hold.
B is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Aoki has managed to free his arm - good work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
B throwing shots but Aoki is blocking nicely.
Aoki is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of B's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take B's back!
B grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
B covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
B looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
Aoki has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for B! Can he survive? No! He's out! Aoki gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Masakazu Aoki!
