Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Buakaw Pramuk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pramuk comes to the cage accompanied by Versant - Push Away. Damian Maia has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Damian Maia! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pramuk tries to clinch up. Pramuk shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Maia scores with a nice strike. Maia shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Maia jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Pramuk is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Pramuk and Maia has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Maia trying to control the position but Pramuk is working away. Pramuk knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Maia on the ground. But no, Pramuk has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Maia but great work by Pramuk.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pramuk has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Pramuk throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Maia was covering up waiting for the punch and Pramuk finishes the takedown easily into guard. Pramuk gets to his feet - Maia follows without any prompting.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pramuk is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Pramuk finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

That was a close round but I would say that Buakaw Pramuk will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Pramuk moves in looking to clinch but Maia pushes him off. Pramuk fails with the takedown and Maia counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Maia. Maia thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Maia drops back, looking for a kneebar! Pramuk looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Pramuk looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Pramuk! Pramuk wants to stand but Maia has his arm trapped. Maia is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Pramuk decides to stand back up. Pramuk steps back and let's Maia get back to his feet. Pramuk displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Maia.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pramuk closes the distance looking to clinch and Maia holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Pramuk throws a head punch that misses. Pramuk pushes Maia back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Pramuk missing with knees to the body.
Pramuk lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Maia wants a takedown but no success here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. A body shot lands from Pramuk.

Buakaw Pramuk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damian Maia. Pramuk connects with a nasty looking knee right to Maia's face.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pramuk lands a good knee to the midsection. Maia won't want to take too many of those. Pramuk with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Pramuk misses with a knee to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Buakaw Pramuk will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Damian Maia's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!
Pramuk looks to clinch and Maia counters with a shoot takedown. Pramuk fights it but they end up in guard. Maia stands and throws Pramuk's legs to the side, diving into side control. Maia trying to control the action but Pramuk is working from the bottom. Pramuk is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Maia is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Pramuk has escaped the position, nice work there. Maia takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Maia tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Maia has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Pramuk is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Pramuk tries to close the distance and clinch but Maia swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Buakaw Pramuk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A head kick misses from Pramuk. Pramuk tries to clinch but fails miserably and Maia counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Pramuk's guard now. Pramuk is looking to stand up but Maia isn't so interested in that idea. Maia postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Maia looking to pass the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Maia has gone for a leg lock! Pramuk slips out almost immediately though and dives into Maia's guard. Maia is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Damian Maia comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Pramuk has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
