Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rashad Robinson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Stean!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robinson scores with a sloppy right hand. Stean should have avoided that one.


It looks like John Stean has been cut.
Robinson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Stean.

Robinson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Stean dodges the ground and pound from Robinson.
Stean is looking for a sweep.

Robinson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Robinson landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Robinson misses with the ground and pound.
Robinson prevents Stean from escaping the position.
Stean wants to control but Robinson postures up.
Robinson creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Stean sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Stean tries to buck Robinson off but Robinson is having none of it.
Stean looking for a sweep but Robinson has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Robinson connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Robinson could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Robinson lands a big shot there that rocks Stean but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Robinson connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Stean working to try and regain half guard.
Robinson looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee warns Stean that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Robinson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Stean's face.

Robinson breaks from Stean's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Stean keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Robinson cracks Stean with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Robinson lands a big shot there that rocks Stean but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Stean is working to get back to half guard.
Stean is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Stean is looking to improve his position but Robinson isn't that keen on the idea.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Robinson scores with a couple of good head shots there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stean manages to regain half guard. Good work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rashad Robinson dominated that round.
The cut man is working on John Stean's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Stean doesn't manage to clinch there - Robinson circles away.
Robinson thows a body shot but no joy.
Stean takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Stean has taken the fight to the clinch.

Stean gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Robinson is pressing down on Stean's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Stean has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Robinson to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Stean is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Robinson pulls down on the head and he's put Stean to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Rashad Robinson!
