Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Bridge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Livingstone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Bridge! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Josh Livingstone! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bridge is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Livingstone throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Horrible takedown by Bridge or perhaps it was just good defense by Livingstone which made him look bad. Livingstone throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bridge's waist but Bridge gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Livingstone off to one side. Josh Livingstone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A punch combination from Bridge misses. Livingstone lands with a straight right. Bridge didn't see that one coming. Livingstone misses with a double jab
and Bridge counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Livingstone lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like John Bridge has been cut. Bridge has a takedown stuffed. Livingstone throws a sloppy head kick and Bridge moves into the clinch. Bridge tries to score a body lock takedown but Livingstone shows good agility there to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Bridge. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bridge stops a takedown attempt from Livingstone.
Bridge pulls guard. Bridge escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Livingstone gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Livingstone really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bridge. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bridge looking for a guillotine here but Livingstone defends easily.
Bridge wants to sweep but no luck.
That's one minute gone in the round. Livingstone showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Bridge utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Bridge tries to land a sweep but no joy. Livingstone seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Bridge had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Livingstone is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Bridge Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Livingstone's back instead. Bridge is breathing heavily. Bridge struggling to land strikes to the head as Livingstone covers up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Livingstone tries to roll but Bridge sticks to his back.
Livingstone is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Livingstone wants to escape the position but for the time being he's just trying to control the pace. Bridge missing with strikes. Bridge somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Livingstone trying to get back to his feet but Bridge is in full control for now. Livingstone tries to escape but Bridge has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Bridge patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Livingstone trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Livingstone holding both Bridge 's hands and preventing any damage. Bridge has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Bridge throwing sloppy strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bridge has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Livingstone has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
I really don't envy Livingstone right now.

Bridge is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Livingstone knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Livingstone for a finish. Livingstone can't escape the position.
