Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shane Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spencer Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shane Carwin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Spencer Fisher! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carwin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fisher moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Fisher closes the distance and clinches up with Carwin, looking for a takedown. Fisher pushes Carwin against the ropes but Carwin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Carwin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Fisher paws at him with a jab and circles away. Carwin misses with a series of wild punches.
Shane Carwin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fisher slips a jab and a cross from Carwin.
Fisher instigates a clinch. Fisher tries to break the clinch but Carwin is controlling the position. Fisher tries to circle away but Carwin has him pinned against the ropes. Fisher looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Carwin is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes. Fisher makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Carwin drops down looking for an ankle pick but Fisher pulls his leg out and moves away.
Carwin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Fisher. Fisher tries to score a power double leg takedown but Carwin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fisher somewhat. Fisher shoots in looking for a takedown. Carwin tries to sprawl out of it but Fisher keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Carwin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Fisher shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Carwin as he jumps to the side.

Carwin tries to sprawl out of it but Fisher keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Carwin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Fisher closes the distance and clinches up with Carwin, looking for a takedown. Fisher pushes Carwin against the ropes but Carwin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Fisher shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Carwin as he avoids it easily. Fisher shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Carwin as he jumps to the side. Fisher dives in and grabs Carwin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Carwin pushes down on Fisher's head and hops out. Fisher tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Carwin swivels and escapes. Carwin tries to clinch and Fisher counters with a nice double leg into side control. Carwin won't be happy with that. Carwin is trying to improve his position. Fisher works to advance to full mount. Carwin defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Carwin is in all sorts of trouble here.

We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Fisher punching from mount but Carwin doing a good job of avoiding damage. Fisher looking to control but Carwin is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Fisher really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carwin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fisher lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Fisher shoots in for a double leg but Carwin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Fisher lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Carwin backwards. Fisher lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Fisher gets through Carwin's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. A short right from Fisher on the inside. Fisher misses with a hook from the clinch. Fisher throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Carwins head. A shot in the inside from Fisher. Fisher pushes Carwin back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head. Carwin has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Fisher is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Carwin's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Carwin has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Fisher uses from the top position. Fisher trying to control but Carwin is working from the bottom.

Carwin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Fisher controls from within his opponent's guard. Carwin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Fisher wants to control the pace but Carwin is squirming around nicely. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Carwin is looking to get to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Spencer Fisher will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Despite being in the dominant position, Spencer Fisher just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Fisher shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Carwin pinned against the cage. Carwin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's nine minutes gone in the round. Fisher changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carwin tries to avoid it but Fisher manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carwin to the ground. Carwin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Fisher gets the takedown into side control. Carwin prevents Fisher from improving position. Fisher tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fisher has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The strikes coming from Fisher are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
And that's the end of the fight! Spencer Fisher comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Fisher winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
