Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jammer Basher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Mayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Basher comes to the cage accompanied by Fired Up, Feels Good. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Basher tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mayes swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Mayes shoots for a double leg takedown but Basher sprawls well. He's pushed Mayes's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Basher ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Basher clinches up with Mayes and pushes him back against the cage.

Mayes has his foot on Basher's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Basher works his way back into a safe position though.

Mayes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Basher swivels though and keeps the full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Basher stalks Mayes and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mayes's face. Mayes staggers backwards, shaken.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Basher connects with a nice short shot to Mayes's temple.
