Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between king kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cadu Brandao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thud! ouch! good body kick from kong - that will leave a mark!
kong wants to clinch.
Brandao shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Brandao showed some decent athleticism there.
Brandao is controlling the pace.
kong is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brandao seems to be looking for submissions.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Brandao is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, kong has managed to free his arm - good work.
Brandao is trying to control. kong wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Brandao is stalling here. kong is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Brandao seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and kong has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Brandao tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but kong wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
You can see the frustration on Brandao's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
kong scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Brandao to see if he's OK.

kong throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Brandao wants to control but kong is keeping busy.

Cadu Brandao showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

kong really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Brandao has a closed guard, preventing kong from standing up.
kong will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Brandao throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

so Brandao counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Cadu Brandao comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
