And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, LJ Gibbs!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Misleticur tries for a takedown but Gibbs sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Gibbs scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Gibbs wants to lay and pray for a moment but Misleticur keeps working.

Gibbs is trying to work for a kimura but Misleticur is defending well.
Gibbs content to control rather than advance.
Gibbs looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Gibbs in particular looking to stall.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Misleticur tries to get to full guard but Gibbs has control of the leg.

Gibbs wants to work for an arm triangle but Misleticur is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Gibbs is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Misleticur trying to control but Gibbs postures up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Gibbs looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gibbs stays in close to Misleticur's body and controls the position.
Let's hope that Gibbs has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Gibbs trying to control but Misleticur is working from the bottom.
Gibbs won't allow Misleticur to get back to his feet.
Gibbs throwing strikes but missing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gibbs postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Misleticur is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gibbs, into his guard.
Misleticur trying to control the position from guard on top but Gibbs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Misleticur has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gibbs is proving hard to escape from.

Gibbs is working an open guard so Misleticur takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Gibbs closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Misleticur to the mat! Misleticur manages to get full guard.

Gibbs drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gibbs jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Misleticur has momentary wrist control but Gibbs slips an elbow through the middle.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Misleticur looking to control.
Gibbs looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Misleticur preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Misleticur keeping moving, preventing Gibbs from controlling successfully.
Gibbs won't allow Misleticur to sweep him here.
Gibbs loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Misleticur fails with the takedown

so Gibbs counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Misleticur utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

LJ Gibbs dominated that round.

Misleticur throws a low kick but it's checked well by Gibbs.
Misleticur misses with a takedown

and Gibbs counters with a takedown into side control.

Gibbs has hold of Misleticur's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Misleticur tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gibbs cranks the arm and Misleticur screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Misleticur, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). LJ Gibbs!
