Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Witsanunat Thaksin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Henri Hobbin!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Daniel Blasius and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hobbin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Thaksin scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Hobbin takes the fight into the clinch.
Thaksin tries to land a knee to the head but Hobbin blocks with his arms.
Hobbin tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Hobbin misses with a hook to the ribs.
Thaksin lands a knee to the body.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Hobbin takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Hobbin tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Hobbin has a couple of punches blocked by Thaksin.
Thaksin connects with a nasty looking knee right to Hobbin's face.
It looks like Henri Hobbin has been cut.
Thaksin lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Hobbin backwards.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Thaksin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A slapping leg kick lands for Thaksin.
Thaksin swats away the attempt to clinch by Hobbin.
Thaksin tries to clinch up but Hobbin circles away and keeps his distance.
Thaksin lands a big head kick that sends Hobbin tumbling to the mat! Thaksin takes a step backwards and waves Hobbin back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Hobbin is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hobbin drops his hands momentarily and Thaksin needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Hobbin just on the top of the head. Hobbin drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Hobbin - he's done!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Witsanunat Thaksin!
