Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyrell Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei Aleksandrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams comes to the cage accompanied by Midwest Explosion by Stevie Stone and Tech N9ne. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrei Aleksandrov ! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Vladimir Khabensky and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Williams as Aleksandrov shoots in. Williams shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Aleksandrov is trying to defend but Williams finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Williams uses his free foot to push down on Aleksandrov 's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Aleksandrov . Williams gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Williams tries to clinch up but Aleksandrov circles away and keeps his distance. Williams tries for a takedown but Aleksandrov circles away easily and Aleksandrov counters with a takedown into side control. Aleksandrov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Aleksandrov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Aleksandrov working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Aleksandrov is looking to take a break and control but Williams is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Aleksandrov misses with a takedown attempt and Williams counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Williams. Aleksandrov looks gassed! Williams wants to control from the top but Aleksandrov keeps moving. Williams is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Aleksandrov is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Williams is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Aleksandrov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Aleksandrov looking for a sweep. Not yet Aleksandrov , not yet. Williams wants to control from the top but Aleksandrov keeps moving.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Williams misses with a few strikes there.

Aleksandrov tries for a takedown but Williams circles away easily letting Williams counter with a right hand. Tyrell Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrei Aleksandrov . Williams misses with a takedown and Aleksandrov counters with a takedown into side control. Aleksandrov misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Aleksandrov wants to control but Williams is keeping him busy. Williams tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Aleksandrov wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Williams is working hard here to advance position. Aleksandrov swings around for an armbar but Williams sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Aleksandrov 's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aleksandrov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily enabling Williams to counter with a crisp jab. Aleksandrov doesn't succeed with the takedown so Williams counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Williams trying to control the position from guard on top but Aleksandrov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Williams postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Aleksandrov is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Williams, into his guard. Aleksandrov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Williams has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Aleksandrov has managed to get both his arms back between Williams's legs - danger averted. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Aleksandrov wants to control from the top but Williams keeps moving.

Aleksandrov gets underhooks to prevent Williams's takedown attempt.

Aleksandrov is fighting off a takedown attempt but Williams is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Aleksandrov to the mat. Aleksandrov regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. You get the feeling that Williams really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Williams showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Aleksandrov is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Williams has hold of Aleksandrov 's hands but Aleksandrov slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Aleksandrov is trying to control. Williams wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Aleksandrov is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Williams has managed to free his arm - good work.
