Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brick Turner!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Lou da Vinci and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Rogers does no damage.
Rogers closes the distance and clinches up with Turner, looking for a takedown. Rogers pushes Turner against the cage but Turner circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Turner looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jake Rogers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rogers lands with a cross.
Rogers stuffs the takedown.
Turner with a poor takedown

and Rogers counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rogers.
Rogers wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Rogers pulls Turner into guard.
Turner slips nicely into half guard.
Turner works his way into side control.
Rogers trying to remain calm as Turner controls from the top position.
Turner wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rogers keeps working.
Turner has knee on belly and moves into mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A nice elbow there by Turner.


It looks like Jake Rogers has been cut.
Rogers is breathing heavily.
Rogers can't escape the position.

Turner wants to finish this one by submission but Rogers is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Turner.
Turner lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Turner looking for a guillotine from mount but Rogers is having none of it.
Turner wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rogers holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Turner tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Turner has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Turner is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Turner!
