Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josaya Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dark Templar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Garcia kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Go. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dark Templar! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Templar slips a jab from Garcia. Garcia throws a hook to the side of Templar's head but Templar sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Garcia is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Templar. Garcia takes a swing at Templar's ribcage but misses. Templar is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Templar looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Garcia is fending him off so far but Templar persists. Nope, Garcia circles away and we're back to standing. Templar fails with the takedown. Garcia misses with the combination.

He's got his arms around Templar's waist but Templar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Garcia off to one side. Garcia circles away from the clinch attempt and Garcia counters with a series of strikes. Templar will be more careful next time no doubt. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Garcia closes the distance and clinches up with Templar, looking for a takedown. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Garcia thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Poor strikes thrown by Garcia there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Garcia throws a combination that misses and Templar counters with a left and a right that stings Garcia. Nice takedown defense from Garcia. No joy for Templar on that attempt. Templar fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Garcia, pushing him back against the cage. Garcia is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Garcia just stands there and leans against the cage. Garcia keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Templar's efforts to push away. Templar tries to break the clinch but Garcia is controlling the position. Templar is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Garcia here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Templar gets underhooks to prevent Garcia's takedown attempt.

Garcia is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Templar defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Garcia misses with punches from the back. Templar looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

And that's the end of the fight! Josaya Garcia showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Garcia, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
