Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Grayson Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and LieHarder Machete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). LieHarder Machete will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Luis Engracia and Edson Gomes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machete tries to clinch up but Gracie circles away and keeps his distance.
Machete shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gracie as he jumps to the side.
Machete is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Machete moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Machete tries to clinch there but Gracie circles away.
Machete tries to clinch but Gracie is having none of it.

Gracie tries to keep at a distance but Machete has taken the fight into the clinch.
Machete is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Gracie is defending well for now.

Machete pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gracie swats away the attempt to clinch by Machete.
Machete moves in looking to clinch but Gracie pushes him off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Horrible takedown by Machete or perhaps it was just good defense by Gracie which made him look bad.
Machete wants to clinch up but Gracie keeps it at a distance.
Machete shoots in for a takedown but Gracie shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Grayson Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of LieHarder Machete.

so Gracie counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Machete has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Gracie off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Machete rushes Gracie and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Machete lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Machete using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Gracie has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Machete creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Machete tries to land a knee to the head but Gracie blocks with his arms.
Machete prevents the takedown attempt.

Machete fails to pull guard.

Gracie fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Machete throws a knee to the head but misses.
Gracie is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Machete gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Machete with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Machete doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Gracie drags the fight down to the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gracie is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Machete wants to stand and escape but instead Gracie has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Machete wants to stand and escape but Gracie is having none of it.
Machete throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Machete wants to stand up but Gracie is controlling him.
Gracie content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Gracie wants to control from the top but Machete keeps moving.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Machete wants to clinch but Gracie slips to the side

and Gracie counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Machete makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Machete.
Gracie is pushing down on Machete's leg trying to pass to half guard. Machete is fighting to maintain full guard but Gracie has managed to sneak the leg through.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Machete tries to kick Gracie off but Gracie keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Gracie prevents Machete from improving his position.
Gracie lands with a punch from half guard.
Gracie not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Machete pushes Gracie off and gets back to his feet.
Machete goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

and Gracie counters with a takedown into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gracie is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Machete has escaped the position, nice work there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gracie throws an elbow but Machete slips to the side and avoids it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Grayson Gracie dominated that round.
That's time! Gracie's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Machete closes the distance but Gracie moves to the side

and Gracie counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Machete!
Machete is trying to escape the mount.

Gracie swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
