Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Velazquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryu Chyn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velazquez's entrance music is Cowboys from hell. A fine choice. Chyn has chosen I wish as his entrance music. Jorge Velazquez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jorge Velazquez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ryu Chyn! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Alexandre Firmino and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chyn looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Chyn not landing any meaningful shots this time. Chyn content to control rather than advance. Chyn trying to mount his opponent but Velazquez defends it. Velazquez wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chyn is looking to take a break and control but Velazquez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Chyn thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Velazquez avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Chyn.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Velazquez doesn't succeed with the takedown and Chyn counters with a two punch combo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chyn pushes Velazquez up against the cage in a clinch. Chyn swings wildly with an uppercut but Velazquez uses good head movement to avoid it. Chyn goes for a takedown in the clinch but Velazquez prevents it.
Chyn jumps guard.
Velazquez wants to control from the top but Chyn keeps moving. Velazquez tries to stand but Chyn is controlling from the bottom. Chyn manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Velazquez manages to get himself to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chyn chips away with some ground and pound. Chyn sitting in guard, not really doing much. I looks like Chyn might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Velazquez can't keep his opponent in guard - Chyn advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Velazquez pushes Chyn off looking to stand but Chyn dives back in and keeps control.
Chyn thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Velazquez's head. Chyn passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Velazquez! Chyn lands a big shot there that rocks Velazquez but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Velazquez is squirming around, avoiding Chyn's attempts to control the action. Chyn scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Chyn breaks from Velazquez's wrist control and lands an elbow. Chyn lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Chyn looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
The referee warns Velazquez that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Chyn has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Velazquez's face.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Chyn jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Velazquez manages to avoid the submission attempt. Velazquez explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Velazquez is breathing heavily. Chyn tries to clinch up. Velazquez doesn't succeed with the takedown and Chyn cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Chyn gets in close and instigates a clinch. Velazquez is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Chyn pulls him back up using the underhooks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryu Chyn dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Chyn bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Chyn is looking to take a break and control but Velazquez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Chyn thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Chyn in side control, just content to control the action for now. Chyn is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Velazquez has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chyn lands an elbow. Velazquez is pushing Chyn's head away, looking to escape. Chyn manages to hold on to the position though. Chyn wants to lay and pray for a moment but Velazquez keeps working. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Chyn tries for a kimura but Velazquez is defending well. Chyn is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Velazquez is pushing Chyn's head away, looking to escape. Chyn manages to hold on to the position though. Chyn taking a breather here. Velazquez managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Chyn.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Velazquez sneaks out the side door and pushes Chyn away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Ryu Chyn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Velazquez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily so Chyn counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Chyn sitting in guard, not really doing much. Chyn works a leg free and moves into half guard. Chyn winds up and cracks Velazquez with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Chyn landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Chyn is taking a breather. Velazquez says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Chyn thows a huge punch but Velazquez dodges it nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Velazquez is staying active underneath Chyn, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Despite being in the dominant position, Ryu Chyn just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Chyn wants to clinch up but Velazquez keeps it at a distance. Chyn misses with a two punch combination.

Chyn moves into the clinch. Velazquez looking for a takedown. Velazquez prevents Chyn from breaking the clinch. Chyn tries to pull guard but Velazquez won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryu Chyn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Chyn clinches up with Velazquez and pushes him back against the cage. Chyn displaying some good clinch control by pressing Velazquez up against the cage. Velazquez gets control of Chyn's arms and successfully pulls guard. Velazquez will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Chyn content to stall in guard here. Velazquez utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chyn stands up and waves to Velazquez to follow him. Velazquez tries to clinch but Chyn is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chyn shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Velazquez wants to stand and escape but Chyn is having none of it. Velazquez can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Chyn controls the pace. Chyn slips nicely into half guard. Chyn sitting and controlling from the half guard. Chyn has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Chyn stops Velazquez from getting back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Chyn throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Chyn is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Chyn is trying to control the action in half guard but Velazquez is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Chyn gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Chyn misses with a wild combination.
Chyn shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Velazquez manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chyn slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Velazquez is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Chyn dives into side control.
Velazquez wants to get back to his feet but Chyn drags him back down. A lull in the action here as Chyn stalls from top position. Velazquez is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Chyn has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Chyn remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Chyn throwing strikes but missing, from side control. You can see the frustration on Velazquez's face as Chyn controls the position. Chyn is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Velazquez is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Chyn trying to control the position but Velazquez is working away. Jorge Velazquez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ryu Chyn is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Chyn decides to take the fight back to the feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Ryu Chyn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Chyn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
