Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kelvin Keenan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kelvin Keenan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve Jones!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keenan throws a right and a left that both miss.
Keenan lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Keenan fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kelvin Keenan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Keenan is looking to clinch but Jones is avoiding it.
Keenan tests Jones's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Keenan looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Jones trying to control but Keenan postures up.
Jones tries to roll over but Keenan keeps him under control.
Jones is trying to maintain the position but Keenan is very close to passing his half guard.
Jones wants to improve his position but Keenan is controlling well.
Jones is trying to control but can't.
Jones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Keenan working over Jones with some ground and pound. Jones looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Keenan tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jones knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Keenan smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Keenan fails in his attempt to clinch.
Keenan fails to land with a series of punches.

Keenan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jones was covering up waiting for the punch and Keenan finishes the takedown easily into guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jones holds on and takes a little breather.

Keenan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Keenan throwing strikes from guard but Jones blocks nicely.
Keenan postures up in Jones's guard and throws a big left but Jones blocks it.
Keenan looking to pass the guard.

Keenan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Keenan drops back looking for a leg! Jones is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jones manages to kick Keenan off! Keenan jumps back into Jones's guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Jones tries for a takedown but Keenan circles away easily
and Keenan counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Keenan misses with a two punch combination.
Jones misses with a takedown attempt

and Keenan counters with a single leg into guard. Jones didn't expect that.

Jones utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Keenan in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Keenan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jones preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Jones is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Keenan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Keenan throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jones works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Jones is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Keenan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Keenan could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Jones gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Keenan counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jones won't be happy with that.
Kelvin Keenan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Jones.
Jones looks gassed!

Keenan is trying to get an arm triangle but Jones is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Jones sneaks back into half guard.
Keenan looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Keenan is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Jones has managed to free his arm - good work.
Keenan is nestled in close to Jones, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Jones trying to control but Keenan postures up.
Jones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Keenan is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Jones has managed to free his arm - good work.
Jones has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Keenan is working away from the top position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jones moves out of range as Keenan strikes.
Keenan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Jones counters with a nice double leg into side control. Keenan won't be happy with that.
Kelvin Keenan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Jones laying and praying for a moment but Keenan takes advantage and regains half guard.

Keenan lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jones!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Keenan has hold of Jones's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jones manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Jones wants to hold on but Keenan pushes him away.
Keenan lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Jones hang on?

Keenan decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Keenan throws the left hand but Jones avoids the punch easily.

and Keenan counters by moving into the clinch.

Jones looking to pass the guard.
Jones wants to control from the top but Keenan keeps moving.

Keenan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jones doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jones manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Keenan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Jones counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Jones drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jones jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Keenan controlling the position.
Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Keenan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jones might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Keenan kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Keenan is controlling Jones's posture.
Jones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Keenan is looking for a triangle but Jones pushes his legs off easily.

Jones is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Keenan throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jones on the side of the head.

Keenan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Jones is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Jones throws a big right hand that misses.
Kelvin Keenan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Keenan wants to sweep here but Jones controlling him for the moment.

I would just about give that final round to Steve Jones.
Well Keenan has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
