Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vybz Kartel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronaldo Kaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ronaldo Kaka told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kartel lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Kaka tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Kaka pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Kaka tries to close the distance and clinch but Kartel swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Kartel wants to stand but Kaka has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kartel, as that shot connected.

Kaka gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Kartel lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Kaka throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
