Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Julio Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Louie Cane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie's entrance music is Deadmau5 - Some Chords. A fine choice. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Louie Cane enters the cage!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cane stuffs the takedown.
Cane uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gracie.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gracie. Cane does a little dance to reset his feet.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cane as he jumps to the side.

Gracie drops down looking for an ankle pick but Cane pulls his leg out and moves away.

Gracie moves into the clinch successfully.

Gracie changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Cane fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Gracie wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Gracie fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cane looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Gracie shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cane manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cane swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cane working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gracie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gracie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Cane is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gracie is aware though and is defending well.

Cane is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gracie pulls his head out easily.

Gracie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cane does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gracie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
