Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Harkonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Palle Vitrikainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladimir Harkonnen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Palle Vitrikainen! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Fedor Mirinova and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harkonnen tries to clinch up. Harkonnen tries to clinch there but Vitrikainen circles away.
Harkonnen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Vladimir Harkonnen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vitrikainen lands a slapping body shot.
The fight stays on the outside here - Harkonnen looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Harkonnen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Harkonnen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Vitrikainen, pushing him back against the cage. Harkonnen drops down looking for an ankle pick but Vitrikainen pulls his leg out and moves away.
Vitrikainen takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Harkonnen closes the distance and clinches. Vitrikainen is looking to break free of the clinch but Harkonnen has double underhooks. Harkonnen tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Harkonnen has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Vitrikainen is trying to keep an underhook but Harkonnen manages to get the takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Harkonnen is looking for a kimura but Vitrikainen is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Harkonnen to get the leverage. Harkonnen frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Harkonnen landing strikes from the mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harkonnen trying to control but Vitrikainen is having none of it. Vitrikainen taking shots to the head. Harkonnen goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Vitrikainen is on top in guard.
Vitrikainen working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Harkonnen's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Harkonnen looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Vitrikainen scores with a decent looking elbow strike. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vitrikainen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Vitrikainen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Harkonnen is keeping the position for now. Vitrikainen lands a couple of digs. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vitrikainen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Vitrikainen postures up and lands a big shot to Harkonnen's brow. Vitrikainen stays in close to Harkonnen's body and controls the position. Harkonnen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Vitrikainen defends it easily. Vitrikainen wants to control from the top but Harkonnen keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vitrikainen lands a couple of decent looking shots. Vitrikainen throwing strikes but missing. Harkonnen is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Harkonnen has his foot on Vitrikainen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vitrikainen works his way back into a safe position though. Harkonnen working for a triangle but Vitrikainen defends it easily.

Harkonnen is breathing heavily. Vitrikainen forces his way into half guard. Harkonnen looking for submissions off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vitrikainen lands with a punch from half guard. Harkonnen throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Harkonnen gets full guard. Harkonnen avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Vitrikainen won't allow Harkonnen to sweep him here. Harkonnen is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Vitrikainen is aware though and is defending well. Vitrikainen has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Harkonnen is proving hard to escape from. Vitrikainen seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Vitrikainen's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Vitrikainen decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vladimir Harkonnen dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Harkonnen tries to clinch up. A jab lands there for Vitrikainen. Harkonnen wants to clinch. Vitrikainen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Harkonnen.
Harkonnen throws a nice inside leg kick. Vitrikainen swats away the attempt to clinch by Harkonnen. Harkonnen forces Vitrikainen back against the cage and clinches. Harkonnen blocks an uppercut.
Vitrikainen has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Harkonnen obliges. Harkonnen pulls guard successfully.

Vladimir Harkonnen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Vitrikainen thows a big elbow that misses. Vitrikainen is breathing heavily.

Oh but Harkonnen is tightening it up a little... Vitrikainen has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Vitrikainen reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Vitrikainen taps out! nice BJJ there by Harkonnen!
