Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Tate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Louis Bloomer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, David Tate!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Louis Bloomer!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Alexandre Firmino and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bloomer pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Bloomer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Tate bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Tate is putting a hurting on Bloomer here, landing some big shots from side control.
Bloomer is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Tate asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Tate lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Bloomer down.
Tate creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Tate gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Tate apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Bloomer throws a sloppy head kick and Tate moves out of range easily.

Bloomer gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Tate to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Tate is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Tate's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tate thows a big elbow that misses.
Tate stays in close to Bloomer's body and controls the position.

Tate seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bloomer can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Bloomer attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Tate fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bloomer avoids it really well and circles away.

Bloomer closes the distance and clinches.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Bloomer obliges.
Tate can't get the takedown.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Tate is looking to take a break and control but Bloomer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bloomer is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Tate trying to control the action but Bloomer is working from the bottom.
Bloomer parries the strikes from Tate easily there. Tate is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Bloomer to escape.
Tate throws an elbow but Bloomer slips to the side and avoids it well.

Tate misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Bloomer misses with a leg kick.
Bloomer tried to score with a low kick but Tate checks it.
Bloomer is breathing heavily.
Tate wants to clinch.

Tate looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bloomer is fending him off so far but Tate persists. Nope, Bloomer circles away and we're back to standing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Tate has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Tate cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bloomer tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Tate lands a big shot there that rocks Bloomer but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Tate lands a big elbow.
Tate scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Bloomer is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Tate is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Bloomer to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Bloomer shrugs it off.

Bloomer is trying to control Tate's posture but Tate avoids it.
Tate wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bloomer keeps working.

Bloomer pushes Tate away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Tate gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Tate closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tate lands in his opponent's guard.
Tate postures up in Bloomer's guard and throws a big left but Bloomer blocks it.
Bloomer avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Bloomer wants to stand but Tate is controlling the position.
Tate postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Bloomer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tate. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tate is in close to Bloomer's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Tate passes Bloomer's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tate, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
