Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleksander Ivanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacques Deupreaux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deupreaux thows a left - swing and a miss!
Deupreaux shoots in for a takedown but Ivanov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Deupreaux tries to clinch there but Ivanov circles away.

Ivanov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Deupreaux tries to avoid it but Ivanov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Deupreaux to the ground. Deupreaux escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ivanov lands a two punch combo.
Deupreaux shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ivanov pinned against the cage. Ivanov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ivanov lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ivanov.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ivanov is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Deupreaux to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Deupreaux shrugs it off.
Ivanov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Deupreaux can do to turn this around?

Deupreaux has left one of his arms exposed and Ivanov doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Deupreaux screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
