PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shamar Pigg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Rook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rook comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Mr Krinkle kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Pigg darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Rook slips a straight right by Pigg.
Rook lands with a nice body punch.
Rook swings for the body but Pigg moves out of range.
Pigg throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Rook on the side of the head.

Rook shoots for a takedown but Pigg saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Pigg fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rook manages to avoid it.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Pigg, as that shot connected.

It looks like Yuri Rook has been cut.

Pigg has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pigg drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Rook right on the button. Rook goes down! Pigg follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Pigg gets the win via TKO!
