The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Lee looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lee misses with a takedown attempt - Mottonen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Mottonen throws a nice head kick!

It looks like Quan Lee has been cut.

Mottonen drives through and clinches with Lee against the cage.
Mottonen gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Lee tries to score a body lock takedown but Mottonen shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Lee drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Mottonen stuffs the takedown attempt from Lee. Lee gets slowly back to his feet.

It looks like Metti Mottonen has been cut.
Lee closes the distance but Mottonen moves to the side
and Mottonen counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Lee shoots for a takedown but Mottonen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Lee shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mottonen as he avoids it easily.
Lee scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Mottonen fails in his attempt to clinch.
Mottonen misses with a straight left.
Lee tries to close the distance and clinch but Mottonen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lee misses with the combination.
Mottonen tries to clinch but Lee moves out of range.
Lee changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mottonen tries to avoid it but Lee manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mottonen to the ground. Mottonen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mottonen falls off balance throwing a combination

and Lee counters with a takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Lee is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mottonen knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Mottonen striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mottonen manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Mottonen wants to get back to his feet.

Mottonen wants to improve his position but Lee is controlling well.

Mottonen has one foot on Lee's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Mottonen lands an overhand right.
Mottonen goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Mottonen lands a brutal head kick. Lee looks out on his feet and Mottonen throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
