Taratarov looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Smith with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Taratarov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Smith has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Taratarov has managed to get both his arms back between Smith's legs - danger averted.

Taratarov is sitting in close to Smith's body. Smith has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Taratarov is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Taratarov is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Smith.
