Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Georged Pierre! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Deano West! The judges for this bout are , and .
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! West misses with a jab, cross combination.
Pierre looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. West tries to clinch but Pierre is having none of it.
Pierre drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. West tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pierre wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. West is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Pierre has just dragged him back down to the mat. You can see the frustration on West's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. West should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Pierre is trying to get an arm triangle but West is defending well. West manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. West is not content to let Pierre control the position.
 Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. West tries to clinch but Pierre is having none of it.
Pierre shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Pierre in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
West working for a triangle but Pierre defends it easily.
West is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Pierre tries to get to full guard but West has control of the leg. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Pierre is not content to let West control the position. Pierre has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. West is working away from the top position though. Pierre is looking to improve his position.
West tries to pass the half guard into mount. Pierre knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. West is looking to take a break and control but Pierre is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Pierre on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pierre tries to get out of the position. Pierre has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. West is working away from the top position though.
 The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. No luck for Pierre with that takedown attempt.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. West has his takedown stuffed
and Pierre counters with a shoot takedown. West fights it but they end up in guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! West looks gassed! Pierre advances to half guard. West is trying to stand up here but Pierre is controlling him well. Pierre wants to free his trapped foot but West is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Pierre seems to be working for a kimura but West defends the submission attempt. The fighters are battling for position here. West manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Pierre wants to control from the top but West keeps moving.
West has his foot on Pierre's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pierre works his way back into a safe position though. Pierre preventing the sweep. Pierre wants to control from the top but West keeps moving. Pierre passes West's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Pierre controlling the action here. West trying to hold on to Pierre's head to control him but Pierre postures up.

Georged Pierre dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.
Pierre gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and West counters with a takedown into side control. Pierre tries to bench press West off him but West keeps the position. West wants to stand but Pierre has his arm trapped. West throwing strikes but Pierre manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Pierre wants to control but West is keeping him busy. West dodges the ground and pound from Pierre. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. West is looking to reverse the position.
Pierre is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. West knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
 It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Pierre throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around West's waist but West gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pierre off to one side.
West closes the distance and pushes Pierre back into the ropes. West lands a nice uppercut. West pushes Pierre back against the ropes and unloads with a body punch.
West has picked Pierre up - he's going for a ride! West dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Pierre manages to get to full guard.
Pierre is trying to keep West in close.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
West got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pierre has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, West has managed to get both his arms back between Pierre's legs - danger averted. Pierre is trying to control the position from the bottom.
West not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Pierre trying to control the position.
West is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Pierre controls West momentarily but West frees himself.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pierre had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. West defends it easily.
 It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Pierre shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts West as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Georged Pierre. That's going to take a lot out of him.
West gets in close and instigates a clinch. West wants a takedown.

West turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Pierre gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Pierre is looking for a sweep. West is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Pierre is staying active underneath West, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Pierre is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of West's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take West's back! Pierre throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. Pierre avoiding West 's attempts to control his hands.
Pierre is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Pierre wants to control the position but West frees himself and scrambles - Pierre manages to regain control in side control.
Pierre working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Deano West showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

West throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pierre was covering up waiting for the punch and West finishes the takedown easily into guard. Pierre keeping moving, preventing West from controlling successfully. West passes Pierre's left leg - he's now in half guard. West trying to pass the guard but Pierre defending well. West is keen to just control but Pierre is a slippery customer. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Pierre is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of West's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take West's back!
Pierre is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged West with him. West is trying to defend but Pierre has an arm under the chin now! West grimaces and is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:02 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Georged Pierre!
