The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robinson tries to clinch but Shirov moves out of range.
Shirov closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Shirov has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Robinson prevents Shirov from taking his back.
Shirov is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Robinson has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Shirov has hold of Robinson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Robinson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Shirov looking to secure an arm triangle but Robinson defends it well.
Shirov is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Shirov extends the arm and Robinson is forced to tap!
