Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Peter Bertok!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Smith.
Smith scores with a jab. Bertok acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Smith shoots in but no luck this time.
Smith throws the left hand but Bertok avoids the punch easily.
John Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith connects with a right hand. Bertok shakes it off.
Smith dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Smith lands a glancing blow to the side of Bertok's head.
Bertok moves out of range of the body kick from Smith.
Bertok is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Smith.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bertok lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Smith circles away quickly and effectively.
Bertok uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Smith.
Smith shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bertok's guard.

Smith slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Bertok sneaks out the side door and pushes Smith away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith connects with the punch.
A big right from Smith misses.
Smith tries to clinch but Bertok is having none of it.
Smith has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Smith cracks Bertok with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Smith throws a left and a right that both miss
and Bertok counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smith throws a predictable looking body shot
and Bertok counters with a left right combination that sends Smith crashing to the mat - Bertok wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Smith out for a TKO! Devastating finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Peter Bertok!
